It’s not uncommon for the band that holds the glass in place to start coming loose after a number of years. However, you don’t need to buy a new door or new glass, all you need is this repair kit and your hob will be as good as new again. The glass straps have tape on one side so you can attach it easily and need nothing more than a pair of scissors to cut the strap to the desired length.
