Smålandsspisen 1896 – modern and old-fashioned at the same time
This wood-burning cooker is our first self-manufactured stove. Do you know why it’s called Smålandsspisen 1896? Well, it’s based on a model from 1896. The design is traditional, with beautifully ornamented doors, but it also has efficient and modern combustion technology. The stove provides a comfortable and pleasant heat supplement for your home, cabin or hunting lodge while spreading a cosy and homely feeling. You can also use the wood stove for cooking and baking.
Durable and robust materials
The Smålandsspisen 1896 is made of reinforced cast iron. The top of the large oven is covered with a 15-millimetre-thick soapstone slab for even oven temperature and longer heat retention. If you fill the stove with a soapstone kit, it will retain the heat all night long. The stove comes with planned cooking plates and accompanying stove top rings. Complete stove ring sets are available as an option. When you order the stove, you will get the following accessories:
- fireplace poker
- soot rake
- ash pan
- black stove polish
- fire cement
- thermometer
- two baking sheets.
You can connect the Smålandsspisen with a chimney connection at the back or the top. This model offers a rear connection, including an in-wall connector and a smoke connector.
Enjoy the Smålandsspisen for years to come
A wood-burning cooker has a long lifespan and often outlasts many modern alternatives that require electricity, chips, and connectivity. The Smålandsspisen 1896 is a practical and stylish addition to a rustic and modern home. A wood-burning cooker in an old-fashioned design becomes a personal and unique contrast in an otherwise sleek and contemporary interior style. Simply put, it is a beautiful interior detail that spreads warmth and increases cosiness!
